Suggested Improvements for PlayaInfo Directory Use and Operation

  1. Make all the cards the same size. It was difficult to flip through the cards when they were different sizes.
  2. Make all the cards the same material. Prefereably a fairly stiff card stock.
  3. Put the "check mark" box at the top of the card. When looking for cards that had not been entered into the system it was difficult to look at the bottom of the card. Flipping through and looking at the top of the card would have been much easier and more effiecient.
  4. Don't grab out every card that has not been entered first thing in the morning. Having hundreds of cards back in the trailer awaiting data entry doesn't help anyone look anything up. Search and take a reasonable stack of cards at any given time. That way most of the information will always be available.
  5. Make it clearer how things are to be sorted.... and make this the first thing on the card/form - at the top.
  6. One of the things that needs to be done in the morning is a general re-sort of the directory. Maybe 2 people should be on the outside shift. One to assist and one to sort and search.
  7. What happens to the directory database when BRC is gone? This would be a great resource for the future.
