Movies
I love going to the movies... Here are some I've liked..
IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD
My favorite movie of all time. Made in 1963, I must have seen this film
20 times so far. Where else will you find Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Buddy
Hackett, Mickey Rooney, Phil Silvers, Terry-Thomas, Jonathan Winters, Dick
Shawn, Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson, Peter Falk, Jim Backus, William Demarest,
Buster Keaton, Don Knotts, Carl Reiner, The Three Stooges, Andy Devine,
Sterling Holloway, Arnold Stang, Stan Freberg, Norman Fell, Jimmy Durante, Jack
Benny, Jerry Lewis, Spencer Tracy, and Ethel Merman ALL in the same
film?
ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS
Made in 1964, this was much better than the grade B Sci Fi of the time.
I was all of.. what 10 when I saw this. Loved it. Still do. Course, now we know
the science in it is completely wrong, but the movied still is great after all
these years.
A Knights Tale
I saw this in the theatre and thought it was a strange idea using rock
music as a backdrop for a medieval jousting movie, but it worked pretty well.
The thing I liked best about this film was the way the characters got along and
interacted. They seemed like a great bunch of people and you could just see how
they all fit in the group.
This movie is a joy to watch and I've seen it dozens of times because as
I channel surf I'll stop on it every time.

STAR WARS - The original set.
STAR TREK - All but the first one.
THE GUNS OF NAVVARON
THE LONGEST DAY
SAVING PRIVATE RYAN
GONE WITH THE WIND
A hundred B-movies when I was growing up.. it was bad Sci-Fi, but it
was the only Sci-Fi available.
2010 - I love 2001 when I first saw it.. but it was just to strange for
most people. 2010 is well acted and tightly plotted - and the science is
good.
